Nosotros
acusamos y solicitamos justicia
Señor
Presidente, Barack Obama
Como
jurista, Ud. debe conocer todos los detalles relacionados con la causa penal
contra Alfred Dreyfus. El alegato de Emilio Zola en defensa de la inocencia del
acusado todavía tiene eco en las conciencias de todos los hombres honrados.
Después
de doce años de la acusación falsa de espionaje, la condena de cadena perpetua
y la prisión injustas, Dreyfus fue declarado inocente.
Hoy
el mundo vive una experiencia parecida que aún no tiene desenlace, después de
quince años de prisión. Se trata del caso de los Cinco Héroes cubanos acusados
injustamente de conspiración para espionaje y otros delitos.
Señor
presidente Obama, Ud. debe escuchar como si se tratara de la voz de Emilio
Zola, los argumentos que aún constituyen verdades en nuestro tiempo, y
Ud. debe decidir poner fin a la injusticia.
Permítanos
que expresemos nuestro acuerdo por las promesas hechas por Ud. al pueblo
norteamericano y al mundo sobre los cambios que presidían la consigna de “sí,
nosotros podemos”. Ellas despertaron la simpatía de muchos o de todos,
según el asunto prometido. Nos preocupa el destino de su gloria. Y le
expresamos que su estrella, tan feliz hasta hoy, está amenazada por la más
vergonzosa e imborrable mancha.
Ud.
ha salido sano y salvo de bajas calumnias, ha conquistado corazones, ha
alcanzado el alto sitial de la presidencia de los Estados Unidos a pesar de su
procedencia étnica afro-norteamericana. Ud. ha hecho realidad un sueño quizás
mayor que lo soñado por su raza y el líder Martin Luther King. Ud. apareció
radiante en la apoteosis de la fiesta patriótica que inauguraba su victoria
electoral y luego a la asunción a la presidencia, y se ha preparado para llevar
a cabo sus promesas de gobierno en medio de una crítica situación de su país y
del mundo. Si de verdad Ud. está dispuesto a llevar a cabo los muchos
cambios que necesita su nación y este mundo, que pertenece a todos, debe
comprender que ello entraña riesgos. Sin embargo, un hombre honrado y valiente
no puede rehuirlos.
¡Pero
qué mancha de cieno sobre vuestro nombre -debemos decir sobre su mandato de
gobierno- puede significar este abominable proceso de los Cinco Héroes cubanos!
Es
un hecho notorio que la Corte Suprema de los Estados Unidos, coincidiendo con
el gobierno, y, por lo tanto, de Ud. mismo, rechazó la solicitud de
revisión de esta causa, a pesar del acompañamiento y respaldo por los amigos de
la Corte, que quizás ha sido la más numerosa y verdadera en la historia.
Este
acto ha representado una bofetada a la verdad y a la justicia. Y para ello ya
no hay remedio. Estados Unidos conservará esa mancha y la historia consignará
que semejante crimen social se cometió al amparo de su presidencia. Ahora bien,
Ud. tiene las facultades constitucionales y las virtudes humanas para revertir,
mediante el indulto o perdón presidencial, en forma valiente y justa, este
proceso que hoy ofende a la humanidad.
Por
eso solicitamos a Ud., proclamando la verdad de personas honradas. Nosotros
estamos convencidos de que Ud. ignora lo que ocurre en todos los detalles,
aunque suponemos que algo debe saber por su condición de presidente y hombre
inteligente. Además, las innumerables peticiones de clemencia que les han sido
enviadas desde todos los lugares del mundo -tanto públicas como privadas- deben
haber llegado a Ud. en una u otra forma.
Ya
han sido liberados dos de los Cinco Héroes, René González y Fernando González,
después de cumplir sus condenas respectivas de 15 y 17 años de prisión. Por lo
tanto, aún permanecen en prisión tres de ellos: Gerardo Hernández, Ramón
Labañino y Antonio Guerrero. Ud. puede poner fin al sufrimiento de estos
hombres inocentes.
¿Y
a quién denunciar las infamias de esa mafia cubano-americana, coligada con
personajes policíacos, administrativos, judiciales, políticos y periodísticos,
que son los verdaderos culpables, sino al primer magistrado del país? Ante
todo, debe prevalecer la verdad acerca del proceso y de la condena de los Cinco
Héroes cubanos.
Estos
son los hechos, señor Presidente. No se cometió un error sino una infamia
judicial. Y las condiciones morales, como la actitud digna, el carácter
excepcionalmente humano, la misión noble de preservar vidas frente a las
actividades terroristas conocidas contra su patria, son reflejo de la nobleza y
de la inocencia de los condenados.
Sin
causa justificada para ello, la mafia y los agentes policíacos corruptos de
Miami, acabaron de ofrecerlos como víctimas de las extraordinarias
maquinaciones del ambiente terrorista en que se desenvolvían los 5 cubanos. El
odio contra los cubanos de la Isla les han hecho víctimas propicias a los
Cinco Héroes.
Después
de más de 15 años muchas conciencias permanecen turbadas profundamente. Ellas
se inquietan, buscan, y acaban por convencerse de la inocencia de los Cinco
cubanos. No es extraño, por lo tanto, que diez Premios Nobel, parlamentos
enteros o grupos de parlamentarios de distintos países, personalidades y
organizaciones de los más variados credos, incluyendo prominentes
personalidades sociales y del sector de la jurisprudencia, hayan conformado amicus a
favor de esta causa en un número y una calidad sin precedente en la historia de
la Suprema Corte.
No
mencionaremos las primeras dudas y la final convicción de que en el caso de los
Cinco no existe la menor evidencia de espionaje, y esto fue reafirmado por
testigos de alto nivel pertenecientes a las Fuerzas Armadas de los Estados
Unidos. En ese expediente no existen evidencias relacionadas con la seguridad
del país. Sin embargo, existen informaciones que están vinculadas con
grupos criminales y terroristas asentados en Miami, y los cuales eran el
objetivo de las misiones de los Cinco acusados.
Inmediatamente
después de la detención de los Cinco cubanos, Héctor Pesquera, jefe del FBI en
Miami, llamó e informó, antes que lo hiciera a sus jefes en Washington, a los
congresistas Lincoln Díaz-Balart e Ileana Ros-Lehtiner sobre el asunto. En esta
forma comenzaron las calumnias contra los detenidos. Lo más
vergonzoso es que después se constató que esos periodistas recibieron pago del
gobierno por el servicio de propaganda contra los Cinco.
Por
tanto, el primer juicio llevado a cabo en Miami contra toda lógica y fundamento
legal, por ser una ciudad fundamentalmente hostil para los acusados, condujo a
la condena injusta, más allá de la carencia de evidencias. Las sanciones fueron
criminalmente severas.
La
revisión del caso por el panel de tres jueces ante la apelación en el Tribunal
de Atlanta, concluyó con un fallo coherente, en el que se cuestionó la
celebración del juicio en Miami, se anularon las sentencias y se ordenó un
nuevo juicio en otro territorio neutral.
Así
comenzó el debate judicial entre los abogados de la defensa y la fiscal. Esta
recurrió el fallo y otro panel de tres jueces, ésta vez con un nuevo miembro,
analizó la causa. Este entró en contradicción con el fallo primero del panel de
tres jueces. La apelación ante el pleno de la Corte de Atlanta fue adversa
también para los acusados.
La
última esperanza legal dependía de que la Corte Suprema de los Estados Unidos
acogiera la revisión del caso, y para lo cual contó con razones suficientes
para hacerlo en forma honorable. Sin embargo, cometiendo un crimen contra la
justicia, la Corte rechazó el caso tal como fue solicitado por la fiscal del
juicio, en nombre del gobierno.
Sin
duda no hay más que una cosa verdadera: el sistema judicial se defiende y este
evita confesar su crimen, cuya abominación aumenta de hora en hora. ¡No, eso
no! En este proceso ha quedado demostrado que la causa de los Cinco Héroes es
fundamentalmente un asunto político relacionado con Cuba.
¡Ah,
qué gran barrido debe hacer el Gobierno que Ud. preside en esas cuevas
policíacas y jurídicas corruptas! ¿Cuándo Ud. tomará la decisión gubernamental
verdaderamente fuerte para renovarlo todo?
Conocemos
a muchas gentes que ante las decisiones judiciales que le comentamos a Ud.,
tiemblan de angustia, ¡porque saben en qué manos está la justicia nacional! ¡En
qué albergue de intrigas y compromisos creados se ha convertido el sagrado
asilo donde se supone reine la plena legalidad y la justicia! Espanta la
terrible claridad que arroja sobre aquel antro el asunto de los Cinco y el
sacrificio humano de cinco hombres que han sido despreciados por su condición
de cubanos leales.
En
este caso ha prevalecido la demencia y la estupidez, las maquinaciones locas,
las prácticas de la política baja, y los hábitos inquisitoriales. Ha sido
descubierto el placer de algunos políticos venales quienes viven
escandalosamente de la nación. Ellos han ahogando en su garganta el grito de la
verdad y la justicia bajo el pretexto, falso y sacrílego, de razón de estado.
¡Esa verdad y esa justicia que nosotros buscamos apasionadamente, las vemos
ahora humilladas y desconocidas!
Por
todas esas razones, nosotros acusamos:
Nosotros
acusamos a Héctor Pesquera, jefe del FBI en Miami, cuyos intereses y relaciones
corruptas con la mafia lo condujo a una actuación descabellada y culpable.
Nosotros
acusamos a la jefatura nacional del FBI por su actuación débil y cómplice al
aceptar la actuación de Héctor Pesquera, a pesar de contar de antemano, tres
meses antes, con informaciones recogidas por esa institución en la Habana,
Cuba, relacionadas con los planes terroristas que se planeaban desde Miami
contra Cuba. Esta misión fue cumplida por encargo del presidente William
Clinton ante un mensaje de Fidel que fue transmitido por el escritor
Gabriel García Márquez a los asesores de Seguridad Nacional. El compromiso
comunicado por el FBI a las autoridades cubanas de reciprocar información en
una semana se convirtió en la detención de los Cinco cubanos, fuente de muchas
de las informaciones, y de un largo silencio que dura hasta la actualidad.
Nosotros
acusamos a los fiscales en la causa durante el juicio en Miami, por su falta de
ética y legalidad durante su desempeño profesional y por haberse hecho
cómplices de las maquinaciones de la mafia cubano-norteamericana, con los
cuales mantuvieron y mantienen lazos estrechos.
Nosotros
acusamos a la jueza Joan Lenard por haber actuado con una parcialidad
monstruosa durante el juicio, lo cual permitió un fácil resultado de culpabilidad
de todos los delitos achacados y las sanciones desproporcionadamente
severas e injustas.
Nosotros
acusamos a los miembros del jurado que actuaron en juicio de Miami
por plegarse a la campaña de miedo existente en Miami y decidirse en un breve tiempo
a dar su fallo de culpabilidad en uno de los juicios más complejos, largos e
importantes celebrados en los Estados Unidos.
Nosotros
acusamos al Tribunal de Miami por haber condenado a los acusados fundándose en
falsedades y al Tribunal de Apelaciones de Atlanta por haber encubierto
esta ilegalidad, cometiendo el crimen jurídico de condenar conscientemente a
unos inocentes. Si bien el Tribunal de Atlanta introdujo la posibilidad de
modificaciones de penas en tres casos y aportó elementos de juicios válidos
para una posible rectificación legal que no llegó a producirse dentro del
sistema judicial norteamericano.
Nosotros
acusamos a la Suprema Corte de los Estados Unidos por cometer un crimen contra
la justicia al rechazar el pedido de revisión del caso de los Cinco, que
contaba con suficientes méritos jurídicos y éticos para su aceptación.
Nosotros
acusamos a la mafia cubano-norteamericana. Esta ha vivido durante más de
cincuenta años a expensas de las campañas de difamación y de las agresiones
terroristas contra Cuba. Y ella propagó, en su condición de turba exaltada, las
viles calumnias para crear el clima intolerante que requerían para
justificar la condena de los Cinco cubanos presos.
Nosotros
acusamos a la prensa radial, escrita y digital de Miami por actuar como
mastines azuzados por las mafias de Miami y haber hecho una campaña abominable
para manchar la imagen de los Cinco, confundiendo a la opinión pública.
La acusamos de mercenaria porque muchos de los periodistas que participaron en
la campaña difamatoria fueron realmente pagados por el gobierno estadounidense
con ese propósito.
Nosotros
acusamos a los grandes órganos nacionales de prensa por el manto de silencio
tendido para impedir que la verdad de la causa de los Cinco se ventilara ante
la opinión pública norteamericana. Este silencio culpable ha impedido que el
mundo conozca que la conjura sobre una supuesta conspiración para cometer
espionaje fue vilmente montada contra los Cinco cubanos.
Nosotros
acusamos al presidente William Clinton por la actuación deshonrosa en el caso
de los Cinco. Ante la detención por el FBI de los Cinco cubanos, el presidente
Clinton no movió ni un dedo para honrar las conversaciones y acuerdos con el
gobierno cubano sobre este sensible asunto. ¡Cuánta cobardía y deshonra entraña
la inacción en una materia que comprometía la honra y credibilidad de las
instituciones de un país como Estados Unidos!
Y
por último, nosotros acusamos al presidente George W. Bush por haber mantenido,
a través de los fiscales del juicio y otros órganos gubernamentales, una
política de venganza contra los Cinco, tratando de descargar el odio individual
directamente contra ellos, ya que no pudo hacerlo en forma directa sobre su
pais.
El
acto que realizamos aquí, no es más que un reclamo en nombre de la verdad y de
la justicia. Sólo un sentimiento nos mueve, sólo deseamos que la luz se haga, y
lo imploramos en nombre de la humanidad, que ha sufrido tanto y que tiene
derecho a ser feliz. Nuestras apasionadas protestas son realmente un grito y
canto de nuestras almas.
Señor
Presidente Obama, esperamos que Ud. honre con su actuación el prestigio que
merece EE.UU., pues cómo dijera José Martí “de la justicia no tienen nada que
temer los pueblos, sino los que se resisten a ejercerla:”
Finalmente
esperamos, como millones de personas que respaldan la liberación de estos cinco
hombres extraordinarios, que Ud. sepa escuchar el clamor que llega desde todas
partes del mundo, incluyendo a los Estados Unidos. Los 5 Héroes cubanos no
fueron espías, sino patriotas antiterroristas.
Señor
Presidente, actúe con la alteza suficiente para lavar el honor de la nación
norteamericana. Por favor, no guarde silencio en este caso, no permanezca
inmóvil e insensible como una piedra. Nosotros le recordamos a Ud. que “ver en
calma un crimen es cometerlo”.

WE ACCUSE AND WE
REQUEST JUSTICE
Mr. President, Barack
Obama
As jurist, you should
know all the details related with the penal cause against Alfred Dreyfus.
Zola’s allegation in defense of the accused’s innocence still has echo in the
consciences of all the honest men.
After twelve years of the
false accusation of espionage, the life imprisonment condemnation and the
unjust prison, Dreyfus was declared innocent.
Today the world lives a
similar experience that doesn’t still have outcome, after fifteen years of
prison. It is the case of the five Heroes Cuban accused wrongly of conspiracy
for espionage and other crimes.
Mr. president Obama, you
should listen as if it was Zolas’s voice, the arguments that still constitute
truths in our time, and you should decide to put an end to the injustice.
Allow us us to express
our agreement for the promises made by you to the North American people and the
world about the changes that they presided over the watchword of “yes, we can.”
They woke up the sympathy of many or of all, according to the engaged matter.
We worry about the destination of your glory. And we express you that your
star, so happy until today, it is threatened by the most shameful and indelible
stain.
You have come out safe
and sound of drops slanders, you have conquered the hearts, you have reached
the high seat of the presidency of the United States in spite of your
African-American-North American ethnic origin. You have made reality maybe a
dream bigger than that dreamt by their race and the leader Martin Luther King.
You appeared radiant in the apotheosis of the patriotic party that inaugurated
your electoral victory and then to the assumption to the presidency, and you
have gotten ready to carry out your government promises amid a critical
situation of your country and of the world. If you are really willing to carry
out the many changes that it needs your nation and the world that it belongs to
all, you should understand that it involves risks. However, a honest man and
brave cannot avoid them.
But what it stains of
silt on your name – we should say on their government command – it can mean
this abominable process of the five Cuban Heroes!
It is a notorious fact
that the Supreme Court of the United States, coinciding with the government,
and, therefore, of you same, it rejected the application of revision of this
cause, in spite of the accompaniment and back for the friends of the Court that
maybe has been the most numerous and true in the history.
This act has represented
a slap to the truth and the justice. And for it there is no longer remedy.
United States will conserve that stain and the history will consign that
similar social crime was made to the help of your presidency. Now then, you
have the constitutional abilities and the human virtues to revert, by means of
the reprieve or presidential pardon, in form brave and fair, this process that
today offends the humanity.
For that reason we
request you, proclaiming the honored truth of people. We are convinced that you
ignore what happens in all the details, although we suppose that something
should know for your president condition and intelligent man. Also, the
countless petitions of mercy that have been they correspondents from all the
places of the world, so much public as private, they should have arrived to you
in an or another form.
Two of the five Heroes
have already been liberated, René González and Fernando González, after turning
their respective condemnations of 15 and 17 years of prison. Therefore, three
of them still remain in prison: Gerardo Hernández, Ramón Labañino and Antonio
Guerrero. You can put an end to the suffering of these innocent men.
And to who to denounce
the infamies of that Cuban-American mafia, associated with police, administrative,
judicial, political and journalistic characters that the true culprits are, but
to the first magistrate of the country? Above all, the truth should prevail
about the process and of the condemnation of the five Cuban Heroes.
These are the facts,
Mister President. An error was not made but a judicial infamy. And the moral
conditions, as the worthy attitude, the character exceptionally human, the
noble mission of preserving lives in front of the well-known terrorist
activities against their homeland, they are reflective of the nobility and of
the innocence of the convicts.
Without justified cause
for it, the mafia and the corrupt police agents from Miami, they had just
offered them as victims of the extraordinary machinations of the terrorist atmosphere
in that the 5 Cubans were unwrapped. The hate against the Cubans of the Island
favorable victims have made to the five Heroes.
After more than 15 years
many consciences remain upset deeply. They are disturbed, they look for, and
they end up to be convinced of the innocence of the five Cubans. It is not
strange, therefore that ten Prizes Nobel, whole parliaments or parliamentarian
of different countries groups, personalities and organizations of the most
varied credos, including prominent social personalities and of the sector of
the jurisprudence, have conformed amicus in favor of this cause in a number and
an unparalleled quality in the history of the Supreme Court.
We won’t mention the
first doubts and the final conviction that in the case of the Five the smallest
espionage evidence doesn’t exist, and this was reaffirmed by witness of high
level belonging to the Armed forces of the United States. In that file
evidences related with the security of the country don’t exist. However,
informations that are linked with criminal groups and terrorists seated in
Miami, exist and which were the objective of the missions of the five accused.
Immediately after the
detention of the five Cubans, Héctor Pesquera, boss of the FBI in Miami, called
and he informed, before he made it to his bosses in Washington, to the congress
members Lincoln Díaz-Balart and Ileana Ros-Lehtiner on the matter. In this form
the slanders began against the detainees. The most shameful thing is that
later it was verified that those journalists received the government’s payment
for the propaganda service against at the Five.
Therefore, the first
trial carried out in Miami against all logic and legal foundation, to be a
fundamentally hostile city for the accused, led to the unjust condemnation,
beyond the lack of evidences. The sanctions were criminally severe.
The revision of the case
for the panel of three judges before the appeal in the Tribunal of Atlanta,
concluded with a coherent failure, in which the celebration of the trial was
questioned in Miami, the sentences were annulled and a new trial was ordered in
another neuter territory.
The judicial debate
began this way between the lawyers of the defense and the district attorney.
This appealed the failure and another panel of three judges, this time with a
new member, it analyzed the cause. This entered in contradiction with the first
failure of the panel of three judges. The appeal before the full of the Court
of Atlanta was adverse also for the accused.
The last legal hope
depended that the Supreme Court of the United States welcomed the revision of
the case, and for that which had enough reasons to make it in honorable form.
However, making a crime against the justice, the Court rejected the case just
as it was requested by the district attorney of the trial, on behalf of the
government.
Without a doubt there is
not more than a true thing: the judicial system defends and this avoids
to admit its crime whose abomination increases of hour in hour. No, that not!
In this process it has been demonstrated that the cause of the Five Heroes is
fundamentally a political matter related with Cuba.
Ah, how great sweeping
should make the Government that you preside over in those corrupt police and
juridical caves! When will you make the truly strong government decision to
renovate everything?
We know many people that
tremble of anguish in the face of the judicial decisions that we comment to
you, because they know in what hands it is the national justice! What housing
of intrigues and created commitments have become the sacred asylum where it is
supposed it reigns the full legality and the justice! It frightens the terrible
clarity that hurtles on that hole the matter of the Five and the human
sacrifice of five men that have been rejected by their condition of loyal
Cubans.
In this case it has
prevailed the insanity and the stupidity, the crazy machinations, the low
politics’s practices, and the inquisitorial habits. The pleasure of some venal
politicians has been discovered who live scandalously of the nation. They have
drowning in their throat the scream of the truth and the justice under the
pretext, false and sacrilegious, of state reason. That truth and that justice
that we look for passionately, we see them now humiliated and unknown!
For all those reasons,
we accuse:
We accuse Héctor
Pesquera, boss of the FBI in Miami whose interests and corrupt relationships
with the mafia led him to a disheveled performance and guilty.
We accuse to the
national headquarters of the FBI for their weak performance and accomplice when
accepting Pesquera’s performance, in spite of counting ahead of time, three
months before, with informations picked up by that institution in the Havana,
Cuba, related with the terrorist plans that were planned from Miami against
Cuba. This mission was completed by the president’s responsibility William
Clinton before Fidel’s message that was transmitted by the writer Gabriel
García Márquez to the advisers of National Security. The commitment
communicated by the FBI to the Cuban authorities of reciprocating information
in one week became the detention of the five Cubans, source of many of the
informations, and of a long silence that lasts until the present time.
We accuse the district
attorneys in the cause during the trial in Miami, for their ethics lack and
legality during their professional acting and to have been made accomplices of
the machinations of the Cuban-North American mafia, with which maintained and
they maintain narrow knots.
We accuse the judge Joan
Lenard to have acted with a monstrous partiality during the trial, that which
allowed an easy result of guilt of all the attributed crimes and the sanctions
disproportionately severe and unjust.
We accuse the members of
the jury that they acted in trial of Miami to bend to the campaign of existent
fear in Miami and to decide in a brief time to give their failure of guilt in
one of the most complex, long and important trials taken place in the United
States.
We accuse to the
Tribunal of Miami to have condemned the accused being founded in falsehoods and
to the Tribunal of Appeals of Atlanta to have hidden this illegality, making
the juridical crime of condemning consciously to some innocent ones. Although
the Tribunal of Atlanta introduced the possibility of modifications of hardships
in three cases and it contributed elements of valid trials for a possible legal
rectification that didn’t end up taking place inside the North American
judicial system.
We accuse to the Supreme
Court of the United States to make a crime against the justice when rejecting
the order of revision of the case of the Five that had enough juridical and
ethical merits for their acceptance.
We accuse to the
Cuban-North American mafia. This has lived during more than fifty years to
expense of the libel campaigns and of the terrorist aggressions against Cuba.
And she spread, in their condition of exalted crowd, the vile slanders to
create the intolerant climate that they required to justify the condemnation of
the five Cuban prisoners.
We accuse to the radial,
written and digital press of Miami to act as mastiffs incited by the mafias of
Miami and to have made an abominable campaign to stain the image of the Five,
confusing to the public opinion. We accuse her of mercenary because many
of the journalists that participated in the scandalous campaign were really
paid for the American government with that purpose.
We accuse to the big
national organs of press for the silence mantel spread to prevent that the
truth of the cause of the Five was ventilated before the North American public
opinion. This guilty silence has prevented that the world knows that the plot
on a supposed conspiracy to make espionage was mounted despicably against the
Five Cubans.
We accuse the president
William Clinton for the disgraceful performance in the case of the Five. Before
the detention for the FBI of the Five Cubans, the president Clinton didn’t move
neither a finger to honor the conversations and agreements with the Cuban
government on this sensitive matter. How much cowardice and it dishonors
entrail the inaction in a matter that committed the honor and credibility of
the institutions of a country like United States!
And lastly, we accuse
the president George W. Bush to have maintained, through the district attorneys
of the trial and other government organs, a politics of vengeance against the
Five, trying to discharge the individual hate directly against them, since he
could not make it in direct form on their country.
The act that we carry
out here, is not more than a birdcall on behalf of the truth and of the
justice. A feeling only moves us, we only want that the light is made, and we
implore it on behalf of the humanity that has suffered so much and that it is
entitled to be happy. Our enthusiasts protests are really a scream and song of
our souls.
Mr. President Obama, we
hope you honor with their performance the prestige that deserves USA, because
how José Martí said “of the justice they don’t have anything to fear the
contries, but those that refuse to exercise it: “
Finally we wait, as
millions of people that support the liberation of these five extraordinary men
that you know to listen the clamor that arrives from all parts of the world,
including the United States. The 5 Cuban Heroes were not spies, but
antiterrorist patriots.
Mr. President, act with
the enough highness to wash the honor of the North American nation. Please,
don’t keep silent in this case, don’t remain immobile and insensitive as a
stone. We remind to you that “to see in calm a crime is to make it.”
